Portland, OR – The Northwest Baseball Coaches Association (NWBCA) is excited to announce Mitch Canham, head baseball coach at Oregon State, as a headliner at the 2026 NWBCA Convention.
Canham, who played for the Beavers from 2004–2007 and helped lead the program to back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007, returned to Corvallis and was named head coach after the Beavs’ 2019 campaign. Since taking over the helm, he has compiled a 224–103–1 record over his six seasons, guided his teams to multiple postseason appearances, and in 2025 drove the program to its eighth trip to the College World Series.
Under his leadership, the Beavers have re-established themselves as one of the elite programs in college baseball. Canham’s commitment to excellence in both player development and program culture has been widely recognized; in mid-2025, he was honored as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) West Region Coach of the Year.
“We’re excited to welcome Coach Canham to our upcoming convention,” said Jason Krohn of the NWBCA. “His journey — from star player to proven head coach — and his success at Oregon State make him a perfect voice for our conference of coaches, from youth to high school to collegiate levels.”
The 2026 NWBCA Convention will be held January 23–25 at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Portland, Oregon. This annual event brings together baseball coaches from all levels to learn, share, and network.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from one of the brightest minds in Pacific Northwest baseball — Coach Mitch Canham — and many more.
